Meghan and Drew are MARRIED!

Boy, have I been looking forward to sharing this wedding with you! Meghan is the type of bride who invests so much of herself into her wedding planning, especially her details. I was continually amazed when she told me all of the elements of her wedding that she DIY-ed. When I arrived, she told me they ordered all of their flowers wholesale and arranged them all the day before. She and her mom worked hard on each and every boutineer and arrangement, and it showed - everything was beautiful. Many of the other elements of the day were done by friends and family, including the catering and the music. Despite the fact that it rained, it was still beautiful and full of personal touches from start to finish.
The forecast called for rain and thunderstorms, but as we began to take pictures, the weather couldn't have been more perfect! It was overcast and warm and portrait time was going SO well! After we finished the bridal party shots, everyone tucked away until the ceremony was to begin... and sure enough, minutes before 4:00, the clouds opened up and it began to rain. Fortunately it wasn't pouring, but it was definitely more than a sprinkle. Their ceremony was outside, uncovered, but they went forward with it. I was amazed at the fact that even though everyone was getting wet, no one seemed to care. Everyone was so excited to witness Meghan and Drew exchange their vows and commit their lives to each other in marriage. Their ceremony was so honoring to God, full of worship music and beautiful vows, and after 30 minutes in rain, Meghan and Drew were husband and wife.

Around Meghan's bouquet was the lace from her mother's gloves, the ones she wore on her wedding day. There was also a handkerchief that her Great Aunt made that Meghan's dad had on his wedding day. I absolutely love when my bride's have such personal details throughout their wedding day!

Oh, how I love first looks! It's especially fun when the bride and groom are beaming the entire time!
