New Cypress Sample!

I have been so eager to order a new sample album from Cypress, but I knew I needed to wait until I began shooting this wedding season so I could feature a beautiful wedding. The night I left Helen and Thomas' wedding, I turned to my husband and said, "I'm going to make my sample album from today! I can't wait to design it!" Sure enough, the moment I finished editing their pictures I began to design my sample. Two months later, it is sitting here, in my hands, and I couldn't be more delighted!
I've been using Cypress since I began shooting weddings. I underwent a long process of searching for the right album company, the one that really fit my style of photography. I wanted to find something that I would look at and say, "I want MY wedding pictures to be in an album like that!" Well sure enough, over two years ago, I stumbled across the Cypress website and I fell in love - instantly. The albums were beautiful, they were thoughtful, and they were colorful. They had such a unique element to them, without being too far out, something that could stand the test of time. Sure enough, I ordered a sample album from the FIRST wedding I ever shot! As my style and photography grew, my sample was, well, out-dated... so I knew I was due for an update.
Cypress is a true joy to work with. They are extremely careful with every step of the process, and they even called to let me know a few of my prints weren't in TOP quality and gave me the opportunity to send in new pages before they continued binding the book. I am so thankful to have a company that I trust completely, that will honor my requests and check and double-check every last detail before the book is complete.
Here are a few images I shot as I opened the book and explored it for the first time! I am thrilled to share it with you, and I'd love to know your thoughts!
Every last detail in a Cypress book is handcrafted, and you receive a beautiful letter from the creator of Cypress including recommended care instructions.

I chose to purchase the album box as well, a safe and beautiful way to store the album. Although it is an added cost, it is well worth it, in my opinion!
The texture of the fabric is so beautiful!
When you open the box, there is a ribbon placed to help you remove the book from the box.
Embossing on the front cover, and a shot of the first page.
Unlike last time, I opted for panoramic spreads instead of split-pages - this means I am able to design a full-page spread without a gutter in the middle... there is simply a fold instead.
Here are some of my favorite spreads:

I LOVE full-page photos!

I love designing detail spreads!

The last page, and my studio die!
I cannot recommend Cypress Albums enough to photographers - their products are gorgeous and the presentation is flawless. I have been thrilled to be a Cypress customer and will continue to enjoy doing business with them!
If you are a bride and you are contemplating ordering an album from your wedding day, I think you should! And here's why... albums are the absolute BEST way to show off your wedding pictures, and have them printed to look at for years and years to come. How often do you want to gather around your computer screen to relive your wedding day through your pictures? Probably not that often. Creating an album is creating a legacy, a capsule holding the memories from your wedding day, presented in a really beautiful form. You will enjoy it, your children will enjoy it, and it will be something to last for your lifetime.
Have a wonderful Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
