Johanna & Chris are MARRIED!

It was hot - like well over 105 degrees hot, but Johanna and Chris were such troppers the entire day! Looking back, I'm not entirely sure how I didn't pass out, but through tons of water and trying to stay in the shade as much as possible, we got all of the beautiful outdoor portraits we were all desiring. It was worth it!! What amazed me is that Johanna didn't show one drop of sweat the entire time! She looked radiant, and not in the I'm-sweating-but-let's-call-it-glowing" way - no, she actually looked amazing and she never once looked overheated. I wish I had those kinds of skills! I was a sweat bucket the entire day. Good thing no one was taking MY picture!
I've known Johanna since high school, so when she contacted me to take her pictures, I was SO excited to catch up and meet this wonderful guy that had captured her heart. Johanna and Chris have such a sweet love, the kind of love where they are just overjoyed to be together. They love to laugh, and I remember seeing that a lot during their engagement shoot, and it was the same thing on their wedding day. They way the look at each other and smile at each other - it's precious.
They got married at the Fort Belvoir Chapel and the reception was at the Officer's Club. I had never been on a military base before, so it was a really fun experience for me! Here are some of my favorite moments from Johanna and Chris' day...

The shot on the left was one of Matt's captures - this little ring bearer was a trip! And the flower girl was adorable - she just tossed all of the flower petals right over her shoulder!
Chris seeing Johanna for the first time!

Mr. and Mrs. Hild!
Matt captured this precious moment right after the recessional.
I love having Matt as my second shooter because when I capture this (above), he captures these:

Johanna, you are such a stunning bride!

They are the cutest!

Great captures by Matt!
I love this!

Another favorite!

Ahh this light! So pretty!
The Officer's Club was still decorated for the 4th of July!
Having access to the reception site before the guests enter is crucial to being able to take shots like these! So thankful for the time I had with the room all set up!

Favors!

How cute is this?!

Johanna and Chris are amazing dancers!
Epic cake smash!
Johanna's sorority from George Mason did a presentation for her and sang to her! It was so sweet.

They had a bride's side versus groom's side dance-off and this girl did the Thriller dance and KILLED it! She was so good! It made me so happy :)

The groomsmen all signed a football to give to the groom!
