Helen & Thomas are MARRIED!

Okay... get ready because this is by far my BIGGEST post EVER! I simply could not narrow down the images any more because there is SO much to share from this gorgeous wedding!! Helen and Thomas got married this past weekend in Williamsburg and the day was full of so much JOY and BEAUTY from start to finish. Neither Helen nor Thomas were nervous much at all... they were just so excited to see each other! Being part of their day was such a joy because I've known Helen since JMU, and seeing her get into her dress on her wedding day was really special for me. And on top of it all, I knew almost ALL of her bridesmaids, also from JMU. For me it was like a mini-reunion and I was so happy to be present.
Helen and Thomas love the Lord SO much and it really shows, both in their beautiful, reverent ceremony, and in the joy they have. They are two people who truly embody the love of Christ and shine that so bright. It's undeniable that Jesus is the biggest part of their life.
It's days like this that make me love my job, from a gorgeous couple to amazing details, a beautiful church and a CANDY BAR - boy, do I love taking pictures! But most importantly, I love documenting love, the beautiful relationship that God has created and allowed between Helen and Thomas, and the fact that their marriage is a reflection of Christ and His love for the church. What an honor to be able to document that!! I really do love my job :)

Helen is a really talented graphic designer and she designed her own wedding invitations and programs! How awesome is that?!

Anyone recognize this gorgeous MOH?! It's another local photog, Anna Grace!!

Helen's garter flowers were made with fabric that belonged to Thomas' grandmother! I love personal details like that.

First looooook!!!
Oh my gosh, I think I was just as giddy with excitement as they were!
BEST reaction EVER!
Thomas' face says it all - he was amazed. It was so precious.

Helen showing off her train.

One of the BEST parts of doing a first look is having ample time for pictures. We went into Colonial Williamsburg for all of Helen and Thomas' portraits!
I love that shot on the left!

Matt's shot!

Oh, and then THIS happened! Helen and Thomas' friend Jen drove us around CW and she had the brilliant idea to call ahead to the Govenor's Palace to ask for permission to go to the gardens to take pictures. They almost didn't let us in until we mentioned Jen's phone call... THANK YOU JEN!!!

Holy moly - I think this belongs on a CANVAS!
Helen, you look GORGEOUS!

This spot was amazing! I love all of these!
What a fun bridal party! This group was awesome.

The guys had a thing about zombies... there really is no other explanation.
Hahahaha!
Melissa, one of my FIRST BRIDES is on the far left! And many of the same girls in this bridal party were in hers, too. I love it!
Gorgeous ladies!

Gorgeous church!
This right here is proof that a first look doesn't at all take away from the emotion of the processional. Just like me and Matt, Thomas and Helen both cried - I had the biggest lump in my throat! It was so precious.

There is nothing I love more than a really worshipful wedding ceremony.

A quick shoe shot before we leave for the reception!

Beautiful reception site!

Really cute escort card display!
Thomas' last name is Lane - I love how clever they got with it!

Their groom's cake was AWESOME! Thomas' proposal involved Mountain Dew - you can read Helen's account of the proposal HERE!

My favorite part - the CANDY BAR!!!
Of course it was all green - right along with the theme! I love it!

Ring shots on the candy? Well DUH!
This might be a new favorite ring shot! :)

Brick House! Love you girls :)

So their exit was with these crazy awesome streamer popper things...
But it was pretty much a hot mess. It was like a maze for Helen and Thomas to get out of!
Hahaha! Have a wonderful honeymoon in the Outer Banks!
