When Brooke first contacted me about doing an engagement shoot, she mentioned that her and Patrick love the outdoors and love being on the water - I was like, "sign me up!!" We met up last week in their Brambleton neighborhood and drove around to different spots they had picked out. I learned all about their relationship, their upcoming wedding next month in Mexico, and got a small peek into their lives. What was so special is that the resevoir we finished the shoot at is where Patrick proposed! They both own kayaks and go down their often to spend time on the water. It was certainly a unique situation, for me to photograph kayakers, but it was a lot of fun!
The best part was that Brooke and Patrick have so much FUN together and you can just tell by being with them - they are really meant for each other. Here are some of my favorite moments from the day!
So much laughter!
I love these!
Can you believe this fountain is in a NEIGHBORHOOD?! They told me they wanted to go to a fountain, and I'll be honest, I hear neighborhood fountain and I think it's teeny-tiny... this thing was awesome!!
Love this one!!
It was so fun to have a bouquet during an engagement session to shoot her ring with!
We were driving toward the resevoir and we passed this field that was perfectly backlit and golden and I think I shouted, "OOOO!!! STOP THE CAR!" I just can't help it - it was too perfect to pass up!
Brooke you look so beautiful!
A perfect sunset end to a really fun shoot! I hope you two have a wonderful destination wedding in Mexico!
