Jaimie & Andrew are MARRIED!

I cannot imagine a better wedding to kick off my wedding season!  Jaimie and Andrew are such a sweet, loving couple and they had the most beautiful wedding day!  They met while in college at UVA, and now they both serve in the navy, Jaimie as a nurse.  They have been living on opposties ends of the country, so their wedding was a long-awaited reunion - they finally can be in the same place!  Their wedding was in the chapel at Truro in the city of Fairfax, and their reception was held at Jaimie's parent's house!  Oh boy, I cannot wait to show you what their backyard looks like!  I've never seen anything like it.

The entire day was a big family affair, with everyone pitching in to make the day extra special.  It was so beautiful from start to finish, but what was most beautiful was the love I saw between Jaimie and Andrew.  During portrait time, they couldn't stop smiling at each other and laughing - they were truly overjoyed to be together.  It was so beautiful to witness and such a pleasure for me to document!

Here are my favorite moments from the day!

I loved Jaimie's gold details - so soft and beautiful!

I love that her hanger had the wedding date on it!

It seemed that everyone that came into the room and saw Jaimie started crying - it was so sweet!

Holy moly, Jaimie you are a gorgeous bride!

The only good thing about being confined to the back of the church is being able to get a shot like this!

Hahaha they were so much fun.

Jaimie and Andrew gave me 45 minutes for pictures of the two of them.  I WAS SO EXCITED!  Seriously, it is worth budgeting in the time for lots of bride and groom portraits because those are the pictures you will most likely be hanging in your house!  And showing your kids!  So important :)

Wow, Jaimie!

I love this!  So much love and so much laughter.

Love love love!

Another favorite!

OH!  And this one, too!

Love that veil!  It was so much fun to photograph!

I love this.

Just as we were about to leave for the reception, I spotted this area of trees.  We were all so excited, Jaimie kept exclaiming, "I love the trees!"  So glad we took an extra 5 minutes for this spot!!

You know when I put a vertical picture by itself, it's because I LOVE it and don't feel like any other picture shoud be paired with it.  So needless to say, I love this shot.

Oh yeah, and this one, too.

Reception time at Jaimie's parent's house!

Can you believe this yard?

Lights everywhere - I love it!

Jaimie's dad took every branch of that tree and used it as part of the decor all over the house - it was so cool to see all of the many ways he used it!

Jaimie and Andrew grabbed me while I was taking shots around the yard and asked for more portraits - umm, YES PLEASE!  Seriously - my ideal couple :)

They had a slideshow of pictures everyone was watching.

Her mom along with other family and friends made ALL of the food!  Can you believe that?  This chocolate cheesecake was heavenly.

First dances under all of the glowing lights - it was so magical and romantic!

YYAAAAY Truro! And Tim Mayfield, the officiant! He's the one who married Matt and I! Gotta love being confined to the back of the chapel, too- I know that was our photog's favorite part ;)
